📜 Royal History

Huai Kra Phroi Reservoir was born out of royal compassion to combat local water shortages. On January 28, 1990, His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) initiated this royal project during a meeting with officials from the Royal Irrigation Department and the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (RDPB) at the Chaipattana Building in Chitralada Villa. The project was successfully developed to establish a reliable water source to sustain farming, agriculture, and local livelihoods throughout the arid zones of Kanchanaburi.
